Standby Snow: Chronicles of a Heatwave, 2019
Standby Snow: Chronicles of a Heatwave, Chapter I, was a place-based project that premiered at Story Mill Grain Terminal in Bozeman, Montana on August 28 & 29, 2019. This intertextual work brought together video, architecture, music, and live performance to activate this rich and complex location rife with historical narratives and environmental lessons.
Directed by Laine Rettmer and Mary Ellen Strom, Composed by MJ Williams, libretto by Shane Doyle, Laine Rettmer, and Mary Ellen Strom, produced by the MAP Fund grant, Watermill Center and Mountain Time Arts
